The South Carolina Archives & History Foundation is a private non-profit organization providing support for the programs of the South Carolina Department of Archives and History. The department is an independent state agency whose mission is to preserve and promote the documentary and cultural heritage of the Palmetto State. It is the caretaker of the South Carolina Archives, a collection of more than 300 years of historical documents recording the rich and diverse history of the people and government of South Carolina. |

The Foundation actively seeks the support of corporations, organizations and individuals who believe in the value of preserving the Palmetto State's vast history.
